Programmed in partnership with the Women’s Prize Trust, join the Mount St. Restaurant for a literary lunch with author Monica Ali.

Monica Ali is a bestselling writer whose work has been translated into 26 languages. She is the author of five books: Brick LaneAlentejo Blue, In the Kitchen, Untold Story and Love Marriage. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, in 2003 she was named as one of Granta's Best of Young British Novelists. She has been nominated for the Booker Prize, the George Orwell Prize, the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize, and in the U.S. has been a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. She was Chair of Judges for the 2024 Women's Prize for Fiction, which V. V. Ganeshananthan won with Brotherles Night.

The event will be chaired by cultural journalist and author Claire Armitstead.

Hosted in Mount St. Restaurant's iconic Scottish Room, guests will enjoy a champagne reception, followed by a two-course meal.

2:00pm: Dessert and Q&A with Monica Ali, chaired by Claire Armitstead. 

Food, drink and service is included in the £50 ticket price. Guests will also receive a signed copy of Monica Ali's book, Love Marriage.
